Meet alison

I’ve been writing stories ever since I was a little girl. At Mitchell elementary school in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, volunteers bound many of my early stories into “real” little books, each child receiving a copy of their own book. I’ve been dreaming up stories and writing both fiction and non-fiction ever since I held that first book with my name on the front cover, it sparked a dream that has stayed with me.

Over the years, I’ve continued to dream up stories and write both fiction and non-fiction. I’ve been a regular contributor for over a decade at Diabetes Self-Management magazine and have more recently focused back on creative writing projects.

My writing interests range from children’s literature, faith-inspired writing, as well as nutrition and health. Many of my current and future books carry these common thematic threads expanding upon my curiosity and passion for wholehearted living.

When I’m not working on a new idea or imagining my next story you can usually find me in the kitchen cooking something delicious or exploring the Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland with my husband, Jonathan, our daughters, Kelsey and Caroline and our sweet but energetic Brittany, Birdie.
